5 Things to do before installing Sod
- Measure the desired area
- Prep the soil: clear the area of any rocks or debris, and grade the soil so there is proper drainage.
- Add any topsoil if necessary
- Test the pH level of your soil
- Add a starter Fertilizer with high phosphate levels. This will help keep the lawn healthy in its beginning stages
