Transform Your Orange County Yard Overnight with Fresh, Premium St. Augustine Sod - Delivered Direct from Our Family Farm!

St. Augustine sod is particularly well-suited for coastal areas, including those in Orange County. Its tolerance for salt and ability to thrive in sandy soils make it an ideal choice for yards near the ocean. The grass's resilience to coastal climates ensures a lush, green lawn that enhances curb appeal and outdoor living spaces.

After installing St. Augustine sod in normal conditions, it requires frequent watering to establish roots. For the first 7-10 days, water twice daily to keep the sod moist but not soaked. After this initial period, reduce watering to once every two or three days, depending on the weather, until the sod is firmly rooted. Once established, St. Augustine needs about 1 to 1.5 inches of water per week, either from rainfall or irrigation, to maintain its health and lush appearance.

Buying St. Augustine sod directly from Quality Turf, a local farmer, offers unparalleled benefits. You're guaranteed fresh, high-quality sod cut just before delivery, ensuring your lawn looks vibrant upon installation. Local expertise means the sod is cultivated for optimal growth in your specific climate. Moreover, purchasing from a local farm like Quality Turf ensures personalized service and expert advice, fostering a relationship that large corporations can't match. This local advantage translates into a healthier, more beautiful lawn and a seamless customer experience.

t's best to wait at least two weeks before walking on your new St. Augustine lawn to allow the roots to establish firmly. During this initial period, focus on proper watering and avoid any activities that might disturb the sod. Gradually, as the lawn becomes more established, you can start to resume normal lawn activities, always checking that the grass has rooted deeply before increasing foot traffic. This patience ensures a healthier, more resilient lawn in the long run.

St. Augustine grass is known for its shade tolerance, making it a great option for areas with varying light conditions. While it thrives in direct sunlight, it can also maintain its health and color in shaded areas, requiring as little as 3-4 hours of direct sunlight daily. This adaptability makes St. Augustine an excellent choice for lawns with trees or structures that provide partial shade throughout the day.
